Obituary of Eva Mae Cricket Newsome

Eva Mae Newsome “Cricket” 80 of Louisa, KY went home to be with her Lord and Savior on August 27, 2022, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

She was born Feb. 5, 1942, at Charley, KY to the late Edgar and Ina Castle. She is survived by her loving husband Willis Newsome of 45 years. Daughters Theresa (Eddie) Walker and Sheri (Darwin) Blackburn; Granddaughter LeeAnn (TJ) Moore; Grandson Travis Blackburn; Great Grandchildren Thomas Moore and Kaitlyn Moore; Sister Edna Sue (Homer) Lyons and Brother Carl (Linda) Castle; several nieces and nephews.

She was a member of the Charley FWB Church for 44 years and leaves behind a wonderful testimony that everyone she knew knows that she loved the Lord, family and friends and would check on everyone. She was always an inspiration and blessing to all.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday August 30th at 11:00 am at the Charley FWB Church with Revs Joe Castle, Jim Stanley, and Willie Gene Hayes officiating. Burial will follow in the Newsome Cemetery on Highway 1760 Charley, KY. Friends may visit the family on Monday August 29th from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Charley FWB Church.
