Eula Mae Chafin 76 of Fort Gay, WV passed away Tuesday December 6, 2022, at her home.

Eula was born December 1, 1946, at Stone Coal, WV the daughter of the late Thomas and Ethel Hicks Spaulding. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a daughter Anita Chafin; three brothers Ervin, Tommy, and Mack Spaulding; and two sisters Margaret Mollett and Liz Stepp.

She was a retired Teacher’s Aid.

Survivors include two daughters Pamela and Sonja Chafin; six sisters Irene Moore, Della Robinson, Donna Justice, Sabrina Hopkins, Wanda Marcum, and Oretha Chambers; Grandchildren Deidre Messer, Billy Newsome, Mindy Meredith, Shawn Chafin, Jonathan Hatfield, Jesse Newsome, and Maegan Osborn; eleven great grandchildren; Clyde Messer and Rick Newsome who were like a son to her.

Funeral services will be held on Friday December 9th at 1:00 pm at the Fort Gay Church of God with Rev. Ken Allen and Rev. Randy Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Chafin Family Cemetery on Right Fork Lost Creek Road Fort Gay, WV.

Friends may visit the family anytime after 7:00 pm Wednesday at the Fort Gay Church of God.
