Willie Ray Blankenship 88 of Catlettsburg, Kentucky passed away January 10, 2023 surrounded by his family.

Willie was born January 10, 1935 at Irad, Kentucky the son of the late Shelby and Myrtle Berry Blankenship. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Martha Calhoun Blankenship, two sisters Irene Sparks and Joy "Dottie" Calhoun, and two brothers, Ronnie and Jim Blankenship. Willie was a retired laborer from the Local  1445 Laborers Union Catlettsburg, KY.

Survivors include a daughter Judy Thompson; five sons Rickey (Sandy) Blankenship, Gary (Lawanna) Blankenship, Billy Joe Blankenship, Larry (Naomi) Blankenship, and Randy (Annie) Blankenship; three sisters Maxine Salyers, Dorothy "Jackie" (Ray) Calhoun, and Shelby Wallace; grandchildren Craig Blankenship, Bobby Thompson, Josh Thompson, Zack Blankenship, Tyler Blankenship, Todd Blankenship, Courtney Burchett, and Chandra Barnett; twelve great grandchildren; and special friends and neighbors Pike and Clara Sue Bryon.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday January 14th at 1:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home with Bro. Butch Imel. Burial will follow in the Berry Cemetery on San Branch Louisa, Kentucky. Friends may visit the family on Friday January 13th from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home.

Care for Mr. Blankenship and his family has been entrusted to our family at Wilson Funeral Home.
