Ray Calhoun 80 of Louisa, Kentucky passed away on January 26, 2023 following a brief illness.

Ray was born June 9, 1942 at Chatteroy, West Virginia the son of the late Clayton and Mary Farris Calhoun. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his two brothers Earl Calhoun and Orville Calhoun; six sisters Audrey Wheat, Arzie Wellman, Martha Blankenship, Stella Calhoun, Emma Jean Thompson and Margaret Russell. Ray was a retired Machine Operator.

Survivors include his wife Dorothy (Jacki) Blankenship Calhoun; a daughter Sherry (David) Opell; two grandsons Jeremy (Morgan) Opell and Brent Opell; a special niece Judy Thompson; three great grandsons Jackson Opell, Barret Harmon, and Blaine Griffith; a great granddaughter Brinley Griffith and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday January 31st at 1:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home with Pastor Greg Caudill and Pastor Evert Swafford officiating. Burial will follow in the Berry Cemetery on San Branch Road of Louisa, KY. Friends may visit the family on Monday January 30th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home.
