Obituary of Bernice Fitch

Bernice Fitch 87 of Louisa, Kentucky died on March 1, 2023. She was born on February 16, 1936 in Betsy Lane, Kentucky the daughter of the late Anthony McKinney & Frona Elizabeth Rowe McKinney. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother.  

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Lee Fitch. In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her son, David Wayne Fitch; and her siblings Retheal McKinney Lane, Ben Alison McKinney, Denton McKinney, Denver McKinney, Harry McKinney, and Phyllis McKinney Pinson.  

She is survived by her children Delbert Lee (Peggy) Fitch, Sherry (Andrew) Fitch Miller, Frona Teresa (Mark) Clark, Lynn Fitch, Charley (Rita) Fitch, and Lisa Fitch; her grandchildren Richard Fitch, Timothy (Tiffany) Fitch, Justin (Darla) Clark, Jacob Clark, Jonathan (Latosha) Fitch, Brandon (Jessica) Fitch, Anthony Fitch, Nolan Fitch, Benjamin Fitch, Cody Fitch, and Garrett Fitch; great-grandchildren Montana Clark, Hannah Clark, Skylar Clark, Shelby Fitch, Cooper Fitch, Lillian Fitch, Knox Fitch, McKenna Angela Fitch and Amellia Rose Fitch; her sister Veloice McKinney; and a host of nephews and nieces. 

Bernice was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on February 16, 1963. She served Jehovah faithfully for 60 years. 

Bernice was an elegant woman known to all as kind, generous, patient, hospitable, and loyal to all. With love, she exhibited a tireless service to those she knew. 

The family would like to extend a thanks to hospice, Tiffany, Latosha, and all of those that have lent their loving support to our mother and family during our time of need.  

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday March 4, 2023 at 11:00 AM at the Wilson Funeral Home in Louisa with Dale Lambert officiating. Burial will follow in the Fitch’s Cemetery in Louisa. 

Friends may visit the family on Friday March 3, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Wilson Funeral Home.
