Wilburn George “Button” Meredith Jr. age 45 of Fort Gay, WV passed away Thursday June 20, 2013 at Logan Regional Medical Center following a sudden illness. Button was born Feb. 7, 1968, the son of Wilburn George and Rose Marie Bates Meredith. He was a transportation crew supervisor for the West Virginia Department of Transportation. In addition to his parents he is survived by his loving wife Melissa “Missy” Maynard Meredith, a daughter and son-in-law Kendra Rose and Benny Brewer of Fort Gay, WV, a son and daughter-in-law Justin Tyler and Mindy Meredith also of Fort Gay, a grandson Braxton Tyler Meredith, two brothers Joe and John Daugherty, nieces Heather Clonch and Chasity Johnson, a special sister-in-law Janet and Terry Wellman, nephew Aaron and Courtney Wellman and mother-in-law Sheila Maynard. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday June 24th at 2:00 pm at the Salt Petre Church by Rev. Richard Maynard. Burial will follow in the Yatesville Memorial Gardens Louisa, KY.
