Juanita Faye Canterbury 78 of Fort Gay, WV went home to be with the Lord on June 17, 2023.

Juanita was born June 2, 1945 at Newburgh, Indiana, the daughter of the late Frederick Elwood and Ruby Juanita Price Barton. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a granddaughter Lisa Kesling; a sister Doris Barton; and a brother Albert Barton.

She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her loving husband Elmo Canterbury; a daughter Yvonne McCoin; sons Elmo Canterbury Jr. and wife Angela, Carl Canterbury and wife Michelle, Pete Canterbury and wife Crystal; grandchildren Jake Canterbury, Andrea Canterbury, Tanner Black, Caizeligh "Bob" Canterbury, and Kenadie "Kae Kae" Canterbury; siblings Wanda Paulson-Barton, Charles Barton, Glenda Yeager-Barton, Barbara Barton, Ronnie Barton, and Connie Brown-Barton; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Monday June 19th at 1:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home with Bro. Joe McGinnis officiating. Burial will follow in the Bernard's Field on Hampton Ridge Road Genoa, WV.

Friends may visit the family on Monday from 11:00 am until time of services at the Wilson Funeral Home.

Care for Juanita and her family has been entrusted to our family at Wilson Funeral Home.
