Obituary of Helen Maxine Salyers

Maxine Salyers 85 of Louisa, Kentucky passed away September 10, 2023 at the Community Hospice Care Center following a brief illness.

Maxine was born September 25, 1937 in Lawrence County, the daughter of the late Shelby and Myrtle Berry Blankenship. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Troy Salyers; sisters Irene Sparks, Joy Calhoun, and Jacki Calhoun; brothers Willie, Jim, and Ronald Blankenship; and a Grand Son-in-Law Scott Donahoe.

Maxine was a loving mother to four sons Jimmy (Kelly) Salyers, Roger Salyers, Kenny (Linda) Salyers, and Michael (Melody) Salyers; grandchildren Kristina Salyers-Donahoe, Corbin Salyers, Hailey Salyers, Damian (Katelynn Boggs) Salyers, and Thomas Evan Salyers; Great Grandchildren Gunnar Donahoe and Griffey Donahoe; a sister Shelby Jean Wallace; and many special nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday September 15th at 2:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Kenneth Wright officiating. Burial will follow in the Myrtle Chapel Cemetery Louisa, Kentucky. Friends may visit the family on Thursday from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home.

Care for Maxine and her family has been entrusted to our family at Wilson Funeral Home.
