Henry W. Maynard, age 86, of Catlettsburg, died Thursday, December 22, 2011 at Chillicothe, OH. Henry was born July 11, 1925 in German, KY. He is the son of the late Taulbee and the late Amma (Setser) Maynard. He was predeceased by his wife, Myrtle Smith on Feb. 17, 2009. He served in the Army during the the Korean War from 09/29/1950 to 03/05/1953. Korean Service Medal W/1 Bronze Service Star andUnited Nations Service Medal. He was employed by Boyd County Road Dept. as a Road Foreman. He is survived by two daughters: Harweda Stone of Catlettsburg, KY, Bernetta Chadwick of Catlettsburg, KY and two sons: Paul Maynard of Catlettsburg, KY, L. T. Maynard of Catlettsburg, KY; two sisters: Mary Elizabeth Fraley of Finley, OH, Laura Vires of Louisa, KY; son-in-law, Harold Stone Jr. of Catlettsburg, KY; son-in-law, Robert Chadwick of Catlettsburg, KY; son-in-law, Clyde Bolling of Catlettsburg, KY; daughter-in-law, Shirleen Maynard of Catlettsburg, KY; daughter-in-law, Shelly Maynard of Catlettsburg, KY. The funeral was held at 2:00 pm on Monday, December 26, 2011 at Wilson Funeral Home, with Rev. Darrell Howell officiating. Burial followed in Lockwood Cemetery, Catlettsburg, KY. .
