Dawn Elaine Workman 62 of Ashland, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on January 25, 2024.

Dawn was born February 21, 1961 in Greenfield, Indiana; the daughter of Bud Danny Wellman and the late Glenna June Wellman Schaffner. In addition to her mother she is preceeded in death by a very special friend Jennifer Ison and her children.

Dawn touched the lives of everyone around her. She was devoted to her career as a Registered Nurse. From bringing life into the world by assisting with delivering babies at Cabell Huntington Hospital to caring for people, providing love and comfort in their last moments during her time at Hospice. She was proud to be Mike's wife and often voiced she was thankful for having reunited with him and fortunate to have such a wonderful man of God. She continued to be a loving, nurturing mother to her daughter, Brittany, even as an adult child. She always made it a priority to show up for her granddaughter, Madilyn to show support and never missed a basketball game. She loved her family fiercely. Dawn enjoyed attending church with her husband, Mike and had a close relationship with God. She enjoyed fishing, singing and photography. Dawn never knew a stranger and made friends with anyone in the room with her. Her sense of humor was contagious and will live on through her family for years to come.

Survivors include her husband Michael Workman; daughter Brittany Booth and fiance, Zack; a granddaughter Madilyn Booth; her father Bud Danny (Connie) Wellman; sisters Dana (Ralph) Castle and Denise (Jeremy) Heltsley; nieces and nephews Erin Sullivan, McLean (Brett) Parr, Matthew (Courtney) Ward, Devon (Marissa) Strickland, and Olivia Morgan (Ben) Salisbury.
