Loretta Gay Wellman 69 of Fort Gay, West Virginia passed away on February 11, 2024 at her home following a long illness.

Loretta was born August 6, 1954 at Louisa, Kentucky the daughter of the late Reuben and Hildred Thompson Artrip. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her son-in-law Stephen Copley, and two brothers Billy and Roger Artrip.

Survivors include her loving husband Jackie Wellman; children Tennie Copley, Jason Wellman and wife Christina, Sarah Marcum and husband Gary, Jesse Wellman and wife Jamie; a sister Virginia Porter; and brothers Teddy Joe and Gary Artrip.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date to be announced by the family.

Care for Loretta and her family has been entrusted to our family at Wilson Funeral Home.
