Obituary of Norman Earl Davis

Norman Earl Davis 79 of Fort Gay, West Virginia went home to be with the Lord on February 14, 2024 following a long illness. 

Norman was born in Wayne, West Virginia on January 7, 1945 to the late Charles Edward Davis and Mildred Pearl Puckett Davis. In addition to his father he is preceded in death by his wife Carol Lycan Davis and a son Charles “Sid” Davis. 

Norman was a former Tennesse Gas Employee and later in life was a Substitute Wayne County School Teacher. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War Era. He was also a member of the Big Hurricane Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and Sunday School Teacher for many years. 

Survivors include his loving daughter Amy Bellomy and husband Kyle; his mother Mildred Davis; two granddaughters Shelby and Lindsey Bellomy; a brother Darwin Davis and wife Sue; and a sister Karin Frasher and husband Bob; two sisters-in-law Linda Barnett and Margaret Clark and husband Jerry; several nephews and nieces. 

Funeral services will be held on Sunday February 18th at 2:30 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Tony Perry and Rev. Pete Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the Lycan-Loar Cemetery Fort Gay, WV.  

Friends may visit the family on Saturday February 17th from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home. 

Care for Norman and his family has been entrusted to our family at Wilson Funeral Home.
