Wayne was by far the most enjoyable patient I have encountered in my 25 years of nursing. While getting his Dialysis treatments he spoke of his family often, talking about making popcorn for the grandkids and how blessed he has been in his life. I would hear him humming a tune and ask what the song was. He always said he was singing to his wife. I was blessed to have been allowed to be a tiny part of his journey in life. My heart goes out to all of you at this time of sorrow. Pam Dialysis RN

Hey Mister! I just want to hear you say "Hey Girl" one more time. I am comforted to know I can close my eyes and see and hear you saying it right next door. Wayne was my first boss when he paid me to drive the golf cart with the beer for a golf tournament he organized. I never wrecked the golf cart and surprisingly, had not one sip of beer. Wayne trusted me and I respected him so much. I will miss Wayne and his rowdy laugh (it may be as loud as mine) but I will treasure all the good memories of Wayne and family. I wish I could be there and bring my Mom. Please know that my thoughts, prayers and TEARS are there with you. A special hug for nurse Krissy...she will know why! Love you all!

Mr. King was one of our favorite "friends". His smile would lite up a room and he was one of the most positive people we were ever blessed to know. Our thoughts and prayers are with his beloved wife and family.

You were my favorite Donald Duck!!!! I remember when you had your white and red convertible vet, and you would let Rex and I sit on the back, with the top down and ride up and down Eldorado St. . I loved it when you and Aunt Patty and the kids would come to visit and I hated it when you had to leave, You always had stories to tell and when the kids got older and you and Aunt Patty would come by yourselves, you would talk about the kids and their lives and the love that you had for everyone and everything. You will be missed very much. I know that you are in a very special place now, and in very very good company.

To the King family my deepest condolence.
I was stationed with Wayne at Lockbourne AFB in 1963, Columbus, OH. We were at Upper Heyford AFB, England where we were serving on alert duty on B47 aircraft. Wayne was always smiling, very funny and had a great personality,.... we had a good time. He was a great man and a greater man to serve with in the military. I was proud to have known him. I am very sorry for your loss and the world will not see another of the likes of Wayne. God bless.

Dear Unc The trips we made to Columbus when I was growing up, were some of the best vacations that I ever had. Uncle Wayne I will always remember so many good times and the trips to Steak n Shake for the hot peppers and chili! I got to see you last year and it brought back so many good memories. Now you are with good company. We will be together one day. Love Stan and Margie and Kids
