Rita Kay Artrip 73 of South Point, Ohio passed away March 27, 2024 at her home following a brief illness.

Rita was born August 18, 1950 at Fort Gay, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Edgar and Frances Fugett Pratt. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a Step Son Gary Curtis Artrip Jr.

Rita was a Tax Professional and homemaker.

Survivors include her loving husband Gary Artrip; a daughter Rhonda (Grant) Salmons; sons Lonnie Ray Hunt, Christopher Lee Hunt, Curtis Edgar (Megan) Artrip, and Carrie (Travis) Carey; a step-daughter Sandra Gay (Claude) Jarvis, and a step-son Charles Edward (Donna) Artrip; grandchildren Gary Allen Fisher, Ryan (Whitney) Salmons, Kennah Salmons, Austin Hunt, Owen Artrip, Ava Artrip, Liam Carey, Jacob Hunt, R.E.Ana Rowsey, Mason Rowsey, McKinley Artrip, Addy Rowsey, and Charlie Artrip; great grandchildren Ramzie Salmons, Raiden Salmons, Aubree Fisher, and Beckham Fisher; a sister Carolyn Blanton; and brothers Bernard (Arzella) Pratt and William "Ed" (Jane) Pratt; and a special cousin Brenda Ewer.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday March 30th at 11:00 am at the Wilson Funeral Home with Preacher Randy Smith officiating. Friends may visit the family on Friday March 29th from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home.

Care for Rita and her family has been entrusted to our family at Wilson Funeral Home.
