Obituary of Betty Jean Tucker

Betty Tucker 90 of Fort Gay, West Virginia went home to be with the Lord on April 9, 2024, surrounded by her family. 

Betty was born March 25, 1934, at Fort Gay, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Raymond and Fern Newcomb Borders. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Roy Tucker; a sister Pauline Borders Chaney; and two brothers James and Jerry Borders. 

Betty was a loving mother, grandmother, and homemaker. 

Survivors include a daughter Debbie McCoy and husband Tom; two sons Bill Tucker and wife Sherry, and Mark Tucker and wife Debbie; grandchildren Brett (Keri) McCoy, Ashley (Nick) Lee, Andrea (Matthew) Ellison, Chad Tucker, Brooke (Trevor) Rinaldi, Tiffany (Eric) Wilson, and Erica Kitchen; and 19 great grandchildren. 

She leaves behind two sisters Jo Anna (Ed) Falk and Norma (Ray) Wheeler, a brother Charlie (Carol) Borders; and a special sister-in-law Lavonne Borders. 

Funeral services for Betty will be held on Monday April 15th at 2:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home with Pastor Chris Wilson and Elder Scott Coffey officiating. Burial will follow in the Tucker Family Cemetery on Big Hurricane Creek Road Fort Gay, West Virginia. Friends may visit the family on Monday April 15th from Noon until time of services at the Wilson Funeral Home.
