Keenis Preece 87 of Louisa, Kentucky passed awa May 19, 2024 following a brief illness.

Keenis was born June 5, 1936 at McClure, Kentucky the son of the late Amos and Stella Blackburn Preece.In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a daughter Octavia McCall, siblings Emmie Preece, Oudia Meurer, John Preece, Sherman Preece, Clarence Preece, Patricia Preece, Kathy Fitzpatrick, Amos (J.R.) Preece Jr. and Judy Kay Preece.

Keenis was a retired coal miner and farmer.

Survivors include his daughter Stella Setser and husband James; a son Clyde Paul Carter and wife Ladonna; grandchildren Andrew Evans, Emily Evans, Kimberly (Barrell) McCarther, Paul David Clyde Carter, Andrew Hollosy, Kiersten Hollosy; and great granddaughter Yuri McCarther; a sister Linda Lou Hiott and a brother Earshel "Hubcap" Preece and wife Mary; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday May 24th at 1:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral home with Bro. Buddy Stacy and Bro. Lonnie Ratliff officiating. Burial will follow in the Preece Cemetery at Pilgrim, Kentucky. Friends may visit the family on Thursday May 23rd from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home.
