Obituary of Anthony Wilson

Anthony Wilson 78 of Louisa, Kentucky passed away August 1, 2024 at his home following a long illness.

Anthony was born April 13, 1946 at Laurel, Kentucky, the son of the late Claude and Dora Beverly Wilson. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a granddaughter Sarah Wilson, a sister Ernestine Spradlin, and a daughter-in-law Lynn Wilson, a sister Arlene Markin and four brothers, Ivan Wilson, Joe Wilson, Howard Wilson and Reuel Wilson.

He was a retired coal miner and proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

Survivors include his loving wife Dorothy Howell Wilson; a son Brian Wilson, two daughters Sheila Chafin and husband Ransom and Wendy Stanley and huband Ben; grandchildren Heath Wilson, Laken Wilson, Austin Wilson, Cody Wilson, Tori Wilson,and Maddie Sturgell; five great grandchildren; brothers Terry, Lowell, and Gary Wilson; sisters Naomi Coleman, Lois Doone, Rosemary Levisay, and Deliah Howard.

Funeral services will be held on Monday August 5th at 1:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home with Pastor Terry Harmon officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow in the Riverview Memorial Gardens Louisa, Kentucky.

Friends may visit the family on Saturday August 3rd and Sunday August 4th from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home.
