Obituary of Edward Scott Kearns
Edward Scott Kearns 88 went to be with the Lord August 12, 2024. He was at his home in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Ed was born on May 2, 1936 in Louisa, Kentucky a son of the late Thomas Henry Kearns and Nancy Vinson Kearns. He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson Chad Raymond; and a great grandson Parker Scott Johnson.
Survived by his devoted sister Ann Kearns Chatfield of Acworth, Georgia; a daughter Staci Jean Perry; a granddaughter Britney Allen Jones; and great granddaughters Jayla Johnson, Maelynn Johnson, and Meliea Raley all of Ohio County. He left behind a host of friends in Scottsdale, Arizona where he resided bor 56 years.
He was a graduate of Century College of Commerce Huntington, WV, The College of Mortuary Science Louisville, KY, and attended Campbellsville College Campbellsville, KY. He served in the United States Air Force, was a Mason; a member of the Rotary Club, and the American Legion. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 640 and the Arizona Chapter of N.E.C.A. in Phoenix, Arizona.
Ed's passion in life was flying, he had a Commercial Pilot's License and was the proud owner of several airplane which were his hobby.
Graveside funeral services will be held on Monday August 19th at 2:00 pm at the Greenlawn Cemetery East Louisa, Kentucky with Rev. Bobby Stinnett officiating. Burial will follow with full military honors.
Friends may visit the family on Monday August 19th from 1:00 pm until 1:45 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home.
