Verlin Bryant Junior age 76 of Louisa went home to be with the Lord Saturday October 19th, 2024 following a brief illness. Jr is proceeded in death by his parents Verlin and Nolda Borders Bryant, his maternal grandparents Roy and Elta Edwards Borders and Paternal grandparents Liss and Zelphia Lyons Bryant. Jr is also proceeded in death by his wife of 51 years Nancy Jordan Bryant, one daughter Jenifer Bryant West and two sisters Elta Jean Bryant Cordial and Wanda Sue Bryant Gibson. Left behind to cherish his memory are one son Verlin Kevin Bryannt, one Grandson Jordan West both of Louisa, KY, one Brother Lee Roy Bryant of Ulysses, KY, and three Sisters Ann and Mike Stone of Louisa, KY, Judy and Marshall Oldham of Catlettsburg, KY and Carolyn and Larry Lemaster of Ulysses, KY. and many Nieces, Nephews, and a host of family and Friends.

Jr served his country proudly as a Marine serving in Vietnam. He worked and retired from Huntington Alloys at the Burnaugh, KY Plant. Jr. was saved and joined Walnut Grove Freewill Baptist church in March of 1964 and later joined where his wife Nancy was a member at Cherryville Missionary Baptist Church in 1974 where he remained a member for 50 years and God called him home. Jr served as a deacon and was the church pianist. He loved working at the church doing any job that needed to be done and was always proud to tell you how the church was doing and what the next project was.

When Jr walked into a room you knew it by his laughter. He loved to laugh and make others laugh he enjoyed life and always tried to see the best in every situation. Jr enjoyed family get togethers he was always asking all the kids how they where doing in school and asking the bigger kids how work was. He loved his family and was interested in how everyone was doing. He loved playing music with his friends. He was very talented and could play several instruments which he taught himsefl how to play each one.

Jr was a good husband, dad, papaw, son, brother, uncle, cousin anf friend. But most of all He was a good man of God who he loved more than anything. He lived a christian life of someone you could follow as an example.

We the family know Jr was welcomed home by Jesus and so many family and friends that was happy to see him come and he surly was happy to see them. Our loss is Heavens gain.

Heaven is getting sweeter every day with so many of our loved ones leaving one by one and going home.

Jr is gone from our sight but will never leave our hearts.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday October 23, 2024 at 1:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Price and Rev. Jimmy Vanhoose officiating. Burial will follow with full military honors in the Riverview Memorial Gardens Louisa, Kentucky.

Friends may visit the family on Tuesday October 22nd fro 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home.

Care for Junior and his family has been entrusted to our family at Wilson Funeral Home.
