Obituary of Doris Ann Abrams

Doris Ann Abrams, 89, of Raceland, Kentucky went home to the Lord on November 3rd, 2024 at Community Hospice in Ashland Kentucky.

Doris was born June 25th, 1935 in Blaine Kentucky to the late Billie Carter and Opal Carter.

She is proceeded in death by her husband James Abrams. Two brothers; Jim and Ed Carter. A daughter, Deborah Sue Gartin, and two sons Larry and Steve Gartin as well as one granddaughter Tessa Gartin.

Doris admired nature, primarily bird watching and deer hunting with James. She also liked to make blankets, Afghans, quilts and crochet. She was also an avid bingo player, loved well by her bingo family.

She is survived by a brother; Mick(Mary) Carter. A son; Tim Gartin and a daughter Donna Sue DeLawder.

Also to include her grandchildren; Amie(Mike) Keenan, Lynda Perry, Angie Gartin, Steve(Lisa) Gartin, Tyler Gartin, Tim DeLawder, and Matt DeLawder. As well to include all of her Great-Grandchildren.

Doris requested there be no viewing or funeral, only a grave side service on Friday, November 8th at 2:00pm.

She will be laid to rest at Castle Cemetery in Blaine, Kentucky.

All flowers should be sent to Wilson’s Funeral Home in Louisa, Kentucky.

Care for Doris and her family has been entrusted to our family at Wilson Funeral Home.
