Norma (Cricket) Genevive Lemaster Obituary

Norma Genevive Godby Lemaster (Cricket), 84, of Louisa, KY, passed away Sunday December 15th at her home. Norma was born June 10, 1940 at home in Clio, WV.


She was the daughter of Samuel Carlos Godby and Golda Mae Nida Godby. Norma accepted Christ and was born again in 1967 and was a member of the Hood's Fork United Baptist Church. In 1957, she married James Martin Lemaster. To them were born four children.


She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, and grandmother (Nanny). She enjoyed spending time with her family and traveling. She will be missed by all who knew her. Norma leaves to cherish her memories a loving daughter Debra Cyrus and special son-in-law Larry Cyrus, a loving son Jim Lemaster and special daughter-in-law Marsheila Baldwin and loving son, Steven Lemaster; sister Lucille Blevins and brother-in-law Phillip Blevins; four grandchildren Stephanie Akers (Ken), Alexis Damron, Jeremy Lemaster (Alicia), and Lauren Waughs (Paul); 14 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and a host of beloved relatives and friends.


She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years James M. Lemaster, a loving son Ronald Thomas Lemaster, father Samuel Carlos, mother Golda, sister Beatrice Isaac, brothers Charles, Paul, and Tony Godby.


Funeral services will be held Wednesday December 18th at 1:00 PM at the Wilson Funeral Home with Elder Cecil Adams and Elder David Baldwin officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairchild Lemaster Cemetery on See Hill.


Friends may visit the family from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home on Tuesday December 17th.
