Janice Marlene Southers age 66 of Meades Branch Road Louisa, KY went to be with her Lord on Monday September 16, 2013 at her home. Janice was born April 23, 1947 in Mingo County WV, the daughter of the late Randall Hall and Vella Ooten Jones and husband Harlee Jones. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Shelby Southers. Janice was a retired cook at Three Rivers Medical Center and member of the Little Dove United Baptist Church. Survivors include her loving children, daughter Christy Southers of Louisa, son and daughter-in-law Dwayne and Alice Southers also of Louisa, grandchildren Dawson and Logan Southers; a special friend who was like a sister to her Delcie Mills, eight sisters Sharee Jones, Mildred Parsons, Marsha Etters, Thelma Adkins all of Mingo County WV, Lena Faye Hatfield of Ohio, Sharon Maynard of North Carolina, and Teresa Bragg of Florida; two brothers Perry Jones and wife Melinda and Harlee Jones Jr. and wife Teresa all of Mingo County. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday Sept. 19th at 2:00 pm at the Meades Branch FWB Church by Bros: Jimmy Maynard, Walkeen Ooten, and Denny Brown. Burial will follow in the Riverside Memory Gardens at Louisa, KY. Friends may call from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm Wednesday at the Wilson Funeral Home.
