David Wesley Thompson 65 of Fort Gay, West Virginia passed away Sunday January 12, 2025 at the St. Mary's Medical Center.

David was born December 28, 1959 at Louisa, Kentucky the son of the late Edmond and Faye Reynolds Thompson. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a brother Ed Thompson.

David was a retired Supervisor for the Wayne County Bus Garage.

Survivors include two daughters Kara (James) Barker and Sarah (Austin) Truman; a son David Thompson II; his fiance' Doris Hale; a step-daughter Angel (Steven) Puckett, and a step-son Hunter Hale; grandchildren Caden Thompson, Chandler Thompson, Sydney Wilson, and Sebastian Copley; a brother John (Opal) Thompson; cousin Greg Thompson, nieces Kimberly (Rick) Thompson-Hairston and Laura Thompson.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday January 16, 2025 at 7:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Preston officiating. Friends may visit the family on Thursday January 16th from 6:00 pm until time of services at the Wilson Funeral Home.
