Obituary of Gene Taylor Burke

Gene Burke 81 of Louisa, Kentucky went to be with the Lord on January 13, 2025 following a brief illness.

Gene was born May 19, 1943 at Boyd County Kentucky, the son of the late Earl and Thelma Hutchinson Burke. In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by his siblings Carol Fannin, Carrie Francis, Larry Burke, and Ed Burke.

Gene was a retired Union Laborer.

Survivors include his loving wife Juanita Burchett Burke, two daughters Lisa (Terry) Dotson and Donna (Troy) Preece; grandchildren Kayla Thompson, Damon Hoose, Special Grandson Dennis Dotson; Great Grandchildren Greyston Thompson, and Aviana Thompson; a brother Jack Burke; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday January 18th at 1:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Mack Ray Cyrus and Rev. Casey Cyrus officiating. Burial will follow in the Burchett Cemetery Louisa, Kentucky. Friends may visit the family on Friday January 17th from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home.
