Obituary of Randy Crum
Randy Crum 73 of Fort Gay, West Virginia passed away on January 18, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family.
Randy was born April 15, 1951, at Williamson, West Virginia, the son of the late Herman Randolph and Louise Burgett Crum. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two sisters Bessie Varney and Kaye Ray, and two brothers-in-law Ron Ray and Eddie Hatfield.
Randy was a retired coal miner with Marrowbone Development with 32 years of service.
He was a member at the Fort Gay Church of God. He loved his church family dearly, and he loved to witness for the Lord.
He was a member of Crum Jewel Lodge #140. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and watching wrestling and Gunsmoke.
Survivors include his loving wife of 24 years, Glenna Robertson Crum; a sister, Susan Hatfield; Daughter, Margie (David) Dean, Son, Shayne (Melissa) Crum, Granddaughter, Christin Crum, Grandson, Christian Crum, Grandson, Dylan Crum, Great-Granddaughter, Aurora Redmond; Great-Grandson, Malachi Redmond; a son, Michael Crum (Aileen Vinson and Children), Step-Son Todd (Carrie) Kitts, Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren J.T. (Jaylen) Kitts, Tate Kitts, Dominick Kitts, Taylor Hayes, McKayla Tussey; Step-Son, Brad (Jill) Kitts, and Grandson Braden Kitts.
He was loved by everyone who knew him. Some of his closest friends, JD Marcum, Scott Zanders, Dave Brewer, Ray Hunt, Willis Chaffin, and Gene Endicott just to name a few. He had so many friends that it would be impossible to list all of them.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday January 22nd at 1:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Smith and Rev. David Brewer officiating. Burial will follow with a Masonic Service in the Riverview Memorial Gardens Louisa, Kentucky.
Friends may visit the family on Tuesday January 21st from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home.
Care for Randy and his family has been entrusted to our family at Wilson Funeral Home. The family would like to thank Dr. Workman and Three Rivers Medical Center for their quality care throughout his illness these last five years. The staff and nurses came to love him just as everyone did.
