Though we had lost touch over the years, hearing the news of Kasi passing has not only shocked me, but has burdened my heart very much. Though we did not speak every day nor did we see each other, whenever our paths crossed, we would always catch up whether it be a restaurant or grocery store isle. Kasi was, is, and always be beautiful. My heart goes out to her son and her family. May God comfort them in only a way he can.

Kasi was an extraordinary young lady that will be missed deeply. My condolences to all during this tragic time. I, too, know this pain. It becomes a little bit easier to bear with time and I pray to God every day that he comforts you during this time and gives you the strength to get through this. I first met Kasi when she was about a month old at our family reunion. She was the sweetest and most beautiful baby; always happy and smiling. She had so much to smile about...the most amazing and caring parents any girl could ever hope for. And as she got older she was blessed with a beautiful baby boy! She lived a beautiful life full of joy and love and I am truly honored to say she is part of my family. I spoke to kasi quite a bit on Facebook and enjoyed keeping in touch with her so much. This world will never be the same without her in it, but she will live on through her son, her parents, and all who knew and loved her. Love, your cousin Kelly in Maryland
