Willis Napier, 81, of Fort Gay, WV, was called home on December 21, 2013, after courageously battling a long illness. He was born on October 5, 1932, in Haney, WV, to the late Elzie and Ella Napier. Willis was married to Wanda O’Brian Napier on August 8, 1953. He served in the Korean War in the US Army. Willis retired from Huntington Alloys and was active in many churches in the community. He is preceded in death by brothers Wilburn, Kenneth and Wilford Napier. He is survived by wife Wanda; his sons Willis Ray (Miranda), Rick (Charlotte), Doyle (Michelle), Doug (Darla), David (Amy) and daughter Tina. In addition, Willis had 9 grandchildren: Cassie (Stephen), Jeremy (Elicia), Carla (Jeremy), Jayson (Briana), Mason (Kala), Shaylan, Shylah, Bobbie, and a special grandson Jaylan; 7 great-grandchildren: Cecily, Chase, Sophia, Adriana, Breeleigh, Aubrey and Alexander; and a special friend Grover Parsley. Willis also leaves behind 1 brother, Wilkie, and 4 sisters: Effie, Anna Jean, Janice and Joyce, and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be under the direction of Wilson Funeral Home. Viewing will be at Oak Grove Church, Paddle Creek Road, on December 22, at 6:00pm. Funeral service will be at 2:00 pm, on December 23, at the church, and will be conducted by Mack Cyrus, Tom Kitts and Luther Dingess. Therefore we are always confident knowing that whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord. For we walk by faith, not by sight. We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body and present with the Lord (2 Corinthians 5:6-8).
