Derek Bryan Salyers 55 of Louisa, KY passed away Wednesday Jan. 29, 2014 at Three Rivers Medical Center. Derek was born May 22, 1958 at Louisa, the son of the late Marvin and Swanna Riffe Salyers. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by two brothers Dwain and Eric Salyers and a sister Ann Salyers. Derek was a financial and sales manager for Car City LLC in Inez, KY and a member of the Myrtle Chapel Church. Survivors include his wife Kimberly Vanhorn Salyers, two sons Justin and wife Briana Salyers of Ashland, KY and Giren Salyers and finance’ Laura of Louisa, KY; a daughter Christina Salyers also of Louisa, six grandchildren Addison Salyers, Stryker Salyers, Skyla Salyers, Anna Pauley, Olivia Pauley, and Jordan Jones; a sister Kay Hammond of Louisa, KY. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday Feb. 1, 2014 at 2:00 pm at the Myrtle Chapel Church with Rev. John May, Rev. Gordon Crisp, and Rev. Ronnie Childers officiating. Burial will follow in the Salyers Cemetery Louisa, KY. Friends may call after 4:00 pm Friday Jan. 31st at the Wilson Funeral Home.
