Obituary of Paul David Boyd

Paul D. Boyd 67 of Ulysses, KY passed away Sunday Feb. 9, 2014 at Kings Daughters Medical Center following a brief illness. Paul was born Feb. 14, 1946 at Louisa, KY, the son of the late Walter and Elva Bowling Boyd. He was a retired coal miner and of the Baptist Faith. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Emma Jane Sluss Boyd who died in 2009, a sister Brenda Kay Terry, and two brothers Walter Boyd Jr. and Clyde Dempsey Boyd. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law Jannie and Robert Skeens of Ulysses, KY, a son and daughter-in-law Michael and Tracy Boyd of Louisa, four grandchildren Whitney and husband Keith Harris, Michael Boyd, David Boyd, and Brandon Skeens, two great grandchildren Landon and Jordan Harris; two sisters Mary Fitch and Wilma McKenzie both of Louisa, KY and four brothers Jimmy Boyd and Glen Boyd both of Louisa, Joe Boyd of Jackson, OH and George "Toy" Boyd of Columbus, OH. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday Feb. 12th at 1:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home with Dr. Charles Price and Rev. Chuck Price officiating. Burial will follow in the Sluss Cemetery at Richardson, KY. Friends may call after 5:00 pm Tuesday at the Wilson Funeral Home.
