Clyde Eugene Copley, age 86, of Fort Gay, WV, went home to be with his Lord on June 12, 2014 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington, WV following an extended illness. Clyde was born August 31, 1927 in Webb, WV. He is the son of the late Dennis and the late Luda Jane (Chaffin) Copley. He was a retired employee of Norfolk Southern Railroad with 45 years of service. In addition to his parents Clyde is preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years Betty Jean Bowen Copley. He is survived by Emaline Copley, three daughters: Sue Shipley and husband Jack of Fort Gay, Wv Sandra Campbell and husband Gene of Louisa, KY and Regina Kitts and husband Lee of Fort Gay. Also three sons: Joe Copley and wife Kathy of Fort Gay, Mitchell Copley and wife Linda of Louisa, KY and Sam Copley and wife Carla of Culloden, WV; Clyde leaves behind 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 3 great great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on June 15 2014 at 2:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home in Louisa Ky with Rev. Richard Maynard and Rev. Ray Church officiating. Burial will follow in the Copley Cemetery in Fort Gay.
