Avenell "Big Mom" Tarring 85 of Charley, KY went to be with the Lord on Thursday July 3, 2014 following a long illness. Avenell was born June 9, 1929 at Charley, KY the daughter of the late George and Ollie Hayes Bryant. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Charles Tarring and a daughter Reneca Bradley. Avenell was a retired cashier with the Gibbs Hardware in Ashland, KY and a member of the Charley FWB Church. Survivors include a daughter Bonnie Canterbury of Louisa and a son and daughter-in-law Charles "Bucky" and Karen Tarring also of Louisa; 8 Grandchildren, 20 Great Grandchildren, and 2 Great Great Grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday July 6th at 2:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Willie Gene Hayes and Rev. Rick Cordial officiating. Burial will follow in the Bryant Cemetery at Charley, KY. Friends may call after 6:00 pm Saturday at the Wilson Funeral Home.
