Brenda Jane Johnson 64 of Butler, Ohio passed away Sunday July 6, 2014 at the Joel Pomerene Memorial Hospital. Brenda was born Feb. 28, 1950 in Louisa, KY the daughter of the late Rev. Charles and Inez Webb Thompson. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Herby Johnson and son Gary Artrip Jr. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law Sandra and Claude Jervis of Butler, OH and Carissa and John Fowler of Mansfield, OH; a son and daughter-in-law Charles and Donna Artrip of Mansfield, OH; three sisters Gladys White and Josephine Wilson both of Mansfield, OH and Leota Rowe of Huntington, WV and a brother Johnny Thompson of New Knoxville, OH; three grandchildren and one great granddaughter. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday July 10th at 1:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Thompson Family Cemetery at Fort Gay, WV. Friends may call 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Wednesday July 9th at the Wilson Funeral Home.
