Obituary of Helen Louise Lambert

Helen Louise Lambert 79 of Zelda, Ky went to be with the Lord on July 31, 2014 at the Community Care Hospice Center. Louise was born Dec. 13, 1934 in Chillicothe, OH the daughter of the late Kendal Forest and Inez Rebecca Bucy Blakeman. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Carl Lambert, a daughter Karletti Salmons and son Kenneth Lambert. Louise loved the Buchanan Chapel Church where she played the piano for many years. She taught clogging and square dancing, and organized the Lawrence County Saturday Night Live and the Lawrence County Potato Festival which later became the Septemberfest. Survivors include children Jeffrey and wife Sheila Lambert of Sandy Hook, KY, Gregory Allen Lambert of South Carolina, a daughter Carla L. and husband Rod Duncan of Zelda, KY; 7 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren; three sisters Ann Lutz, Maxine Hughes, and Bonnie Edgington; and a brother Forest Blakeman. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday Aug. 2nd at 1:00 pm at the Buchanan Chapel Church with Bro. Jeff Lambert and Bro. Keith Workman officiating. Burial will follow in the Buchanan Chapel Cemetery at Zelda, KY. Friends may call after 11:00 am Saturday and until time of services at the Buchanan Chapel Church. Care has been entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home.
