George Steele 71 of Louisa, KY passed away November 2, 2014 at UK Medical Center following a brief illness. George was born January 18, 1943 in Huntington, WV. , the son of the late Ed and Dorothy Morrison Steele. He was a retired salesman for the Flav-O-Rich Dairy Co., a Kentucky Colonel, a former Assistant Fire Chief for the Ceredo Vol. Fire Department, a member of the Crescent F&AM #32 Masonic Lodge, and a member of the Lighthouse Freewill Baptist Church. Survivors include his loving wife Effie Napier Steele, two daughters Jana Hatten and husband Sean of Orange Park, FL and Michelle McCallister and husband Mark of Barboursville, WV; a son Gary Steele and wife Debbie also of Barboursville, WV; five grandchildren, a brother Donnie Steele of Hickory, NC; five step sons Gary Alan (Janet) Huff, Larry Michael (Cathy) Huff, William Torry and fiance' Nora James, Donovan (Chip) Huff, and Kevin (Carol) Huff; two step daughters Dreama (Gary) Gillette, and Karla Huff; ten step grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday Nov. 6, 2014 at 2:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Bevins, Rev. Jim Castle, and Rev. Greg Caudill officiating. Burial will follow in the Napier Cemetery at Fort Gay, WV. Friends may call from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm Wednesday at the Wilson Funeral Home.
