Garnett Austin 90 of Ulysses, KY went to be with the Lord on Friday January 23, 2015. Garnett was born October 28, 1924 at Peach Orchard, KY the daughter of the late William and Tina Fitch Austin. She was a sales clerk at the Favorite Five and Ten and at Cooper's Department Store both in Louisa. She was also a member of the Belles Chapel Free Will Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a niece Frances Hayes. Survivors include her sister Virginia Slone also of Ulysses, two nieces Roma Slone of Louisa and Kay Lyons of Lowmansville, KY; several great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday January 26th at 1:00 pm at the Belles Chapel FWB Church with Rev. Willie Gene Hayes officiating. Burial will follow in the Austin Cemetery at Ulysses, KY. Friends may call after 6:00 pm Sunday at the Wilson Funeral Home. The body will lie in state one hour before services at the church. Care has been entrusted to the Wilson Funeral Home.
