Billie Gene Adams "The Mayor of Ulysses" went to be with the Lord on Saturday February 14, 2015 at his home in Ulysses, KY. Billie was born October 31, 1935 in Betsy Layne, KY, the son of the late Fed M. and Hazel Charles Adams. He was a former factory worker for the Grinding Wheel at Tiffin, Ohio and a member of the Walnut Grove Free Will Baptist Church and an avid Kentucky Wildcat Fan since 1959. Survivors include his loving wife of 58 years Dottie Bryant Adams, a daughter and son-in-law Vicki and Thomas Daniels of Paintsville, KY; a son and daughter-in-law Billy and Mary Adams Jr. of Ulysses, KY; a special daughter Sharon Dellinger "Kirk" Coakley also of Ulysses, KY; two grandchildren Jamie Lee Adams and wife Amanda and Alexandria Maria Wireman and Fiancé Alex Adams; two great grandchildren Colin Wade Adams and Jase Easton Adams; a step granddaughter Whitney "Sam" Harner, and step great grandchildren Jordan Maxie, Melanie Harner, and Thomas Harner, a brother Larry Adams of Grove City, Oh, and a sister Sandra Ann Dixon of Mechanicsville, Va. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday Feb. 18th at 2:00 pm at the Walnut Grove FWB Church with Revs. Jim Bevins, Jimmy Vanhoose, Willie Gene Hayes, Larry Smith, and Wayne Price officiating. Burial will follow in the Liss Bryant Cemetery at Louisa, KY. Friends may call 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm Monday Feb. 16th and 11:00 am to 9:00 pm Tuesday Feb. 17th at the Walnut Grove FWB Church.
