Claude Copley 91 of Louisa, KY went to be with the Lord on Thursday Feb. 26, 2015 at the Three Rivers Medical Center following a brief illness. Claude was born Jan. 16, 1924 at Stark, WV the son of the late Lawrence and Nancy Williamson Copley Bowens. He was also preceded in death by his loving wife Tellie Henson Copley who died in 2011. Claude was a retired superintendent for Marley Cooling Tower Construction Co., a member of the Louisa FWB Church, a 32nd degree mason, member of the Apperson F&AM 195, and a United States Army Veteran serving in World War II. Survivors include his loving family, a daughter Claudia Copley of Louisa, a son and daughter-in-law James and Angela Copley also of Louisa, two grandsons Bradley and William Copley, a sister Lucille Bowens of Huntington, WV; and a brother Lawrence Copley Jr. of Webb, WV. Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday March 1st at 2:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Osborne and Rev. Bobby Workman officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery at Louisa, KY. Friends may call after 5:00 pm Saturday at the Wilson Funeral Home. A Masonic Service will be held at 7:00 pm Saturday at the funeral home. Military honors will be performed at the graveside by members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6103 and American Legion Post 89.
