I know it has been some time since Lanny has passed, but I didn't find out until last recently. I sure hope you get a notice for this. This is your friend, Sandy Ray. You know Lanny was in my class and he was always so loved by all of us. I was delighted to hear that you two had married. I sure hope that you have found some comfort somewhere. I wish we could see each other. I visit Blaine about once a year and I will try to come by and see you if you are still living in the same place across from your mother's old place. It just ain't fun getting old and missing all the people that you have loved all your life. I was really hurt to see Rita had died. Your whole family is dear to me and you were a wonderful part of my childhood and I hope I was for you,too.

I don't have many memories, but I do have a few and they are good ones. I was not told Lanny had passed away I was looking on the net and came across the obituary. I am so sorry to hear this. I cried when I hear my friend went on. There just are not enough words to describe Lanny. I don't get home often but last time I was in I stopped by the hospital to see him and he was off that day. My memories are many but all good ones. I know Lanny was devoted to his family and to his work family. The picture I have of Lanny is that long blonde hair bouncing as he walked, his blue coveralls and that little blue VW that neither of us could hardly get into. I am so broken and my heart goes out to each of his family and friends. Stick together and console one another and find comfort in the promise that we can see him again.
