James Duddley "Doug" Hardin 87 of Louisa, KY passed away Sunday April 26, 2015 after a long illness. Doug was born April 1, 1928 at Gallup, KY the son of the late Harvey and Bessie Moore Hardin. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Helen Wava Brooks Hardin who died in 2006; two brothers Floyd and Tom Hardin and also two sisters Elizabeth Bearess and Virginia Hardin Romonie. Doug was the owner of Hardin's Used Cars for over 50 years and a construction worker. Survivors include three daughters Doris Jean (Herb) Roberts of Ashland, KY, Betty (Tom) Burgess and Anna (Russell) McKenzie all of Louisa; a son Tom Trimble of Ashland, KY; a sister Ann ( Willard) Salyers of Johnstown, OH; caregivers Connie Boyd, Donna Blevins, and Nanny York and two special friends Ellis Burk and David Smith; 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday April 29th at 1:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home with Bro. Brad Dutton officiating. Burial will follow in the Yatesville Memorial Gardens. Friends may call after 5:00 pm Tuesday April 28th at the Wilson Funeral Home. The family would like to give a special Thank You to the Hospice Caregivers. Care has been entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home.
