Kelly Stroud 62 of Belle, WV passed away Tuesday April 28, 2015 at the CMAC Medical Center. Kelly was born Nov. 24, 1952 at Dunlow, WV the son of Jessie Mae Chapman and the late Wayne Stroud. He was a coal miner for Princess Beverly Coal Company at Cabin Creek, WV. Survivors include his loving wife Kathy Svach Stroud, two daughters Mandy (Donald) Cavender of Marmet, WV and Lori Stroud of Ewa Beach, Hawaii; a son Adam (Lacy) Stroud of Fort Campbell, KY; three grandchildren Ethan Cavender, Owen Cavender, and Mia Nakayama; four brothers Wayne (Deanna) Stroud of Mitchie, Tn, Roy Lee (Karla) Stroud of Savannah, Tn, Chester (Darla) Stroud of Catlettsburg, KY, and Tim ( Kathy) Stroud also of Catlettsburg, KY; four sisters Betty Ferguson of Savannah, Tn, Brookie (Darrell) Meade of Beauty, KY, Patricia (Phillip) Smith of Catlettsburg, KY and Elizabeth Rice of Pick Wick, Tn. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday May 1, 2015 at 11:00 am at the Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Stephen Wilbanks officiating. Burial will follow in the Collier-Stroud Cemetery at Catlettsburg, KY. Friends may call on Thursday April 30th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Wilson Funeral Home 1270 Highway 2565 Louisa, KY. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project P.O. Box 758517 Topeka, Ks 66675.
