Callie Elizabeth Gambill 100 of Catlettsburg, KY formerly of Blaine, Ky passed away May 13, 2015 at the Trinity Station Retirement Center following a brief illness. Callie was born September 29, 1914 at Stanton, KY the daughter of the late Henry and Elizabeth Swango Stephens. She was a retired Lawrence County School Teacher with 32 years of service a past member of the Blaine Eastern Star and a member of the Old Orchard Christian Church in Ashland, KY. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Paul Gambill who died in 1966, a son Roger Gambill, siblings Henry Stephens, Marion Stephens, Nellie Stephens, Jane Wallace, Clemma Elliott, Rose Willoughby, Fannie McIntyre, Helen Conley, and Stella Willoughby. Survivors include her daughter Sara Childers and husband David R. of Catlettsburg, KY; grandson Paul Childers also of Catlettsburg; three great grandchildren Marissa Childers, Teagan Childers, and Justin Stevens. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday May 15th at 11:00 am at the Wilson Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Kennedy officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Hill Cemetery at Louisa, KY. Friends may visit from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm Thursday at the Wilson Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the Old Orchard Christian Church 3600 Blackburn Ave. Ashland, KY 41101.
