Robert E. Bays 93 of Fort Gay, WV passed July 9, 2015 at his home. He was born Jan. 13, 1922 at Fort Gay, the son of the late Ballard and Nada Wellman Boys. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Barbara Spears and a brother Russell Boys, nieces Connie Hanshall and Frieda Kelly. Survivors include his brother-in-law Willie Spears, nephews Buck (Patty) Spears, Billy (Tammy) Spears, a special great niece Lisa Methax and several great nephews and nieces; two very special friends Jr. Raines and Bernard Porter. Robert was a World War II Veteran and a retired truck driver. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Funeral services will be held on Sunday July 12th at 2:00 pm at the Saltpetre Community Church with Rev. Richard Maynard officiating. Burial will follow at the Wellman Cemetery Fort Gay, WV. Friends may visit from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm Saturday at the Wilson Funeral Home.
