Buford McGinnis 80 of Louisa, KY went to be with the Lord on December 25, 2015 at Kings Daughters Medical Center following a brief illness. Buford was born Sept. 22, 1935 at Deboard, KY the son of the late James "Ike" McGinnis and Alifair Cook McGinnis Crum. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a daughter Elizabeth Ann Napier; 5 sisters Lucille Woods, Sillar Marie Buffington, Claire Chambers, Doris McGinnis, Marierita McGinnis, and 2 brothers Lewis Jr. and Harry Eugene McGinnis. Buford was a disabled truck driver and of the Baptist Faith. Survivors include his loving wife Brenda Napier McGinnis; four daughters Kayla Dawn McGinnis, Jessica Nicole McGinnis Loertscher, Jennifer Rose McGinnis, and Jody Lynn McGinnis Daniels; 5 sisters Corrine Holstein, Virgie McGinnis, Nancy Moore, Georganna Tucker, and Beulah Spencer; 4 brothers Rufus, Robert, James S., and David McGinnis; a granddaughter Annabeth Alifair Gail Daniels. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday Dec. 29th at 1:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home with Bro. Lonnie Ratliff, Bro. Ronnie Childers, and Bro. Roger Jordan officiating. Burial will follow in the McGinnis Cemetery at Louisa, KY. Friends may visit the family on Monday Dec. 28th from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Care has been entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home.
