George John Krohn II 87 of Louisa, KY went to be with the Lord on December 29, 2015 following a brief illness. George was born May 27, 1928 at Auburn Township, Ohio, the son of the late George John Krohn Sr. and Louise C. Koerlinie Krohn. In addition to his parents George is preceded in death by his wife Nannie Marcum Krohn. He was a retired machinist at the Naval Air Rework Facility, senior deacon at the Saltpetre Community Church, a United States Navy Veteran, and a member of the Chesapeake Virginia V.F.W. Survivors include his wife Janie Krohn; a daughter Sharon Krohn Caudell and husband Otto of Raleigh, NC, son George John Krohn III and wife Patricia of Monroe, MI, four grandchildren Julie King, Brittany Anderson, William Caudell, and George Krohn IV; a great grandson Jackson King. Additional survivors are two step children Jennifer Thompson and husband Randy, and Dennis Smith II and wife Becky, two step grandchildren Nicole Cook and Randa Thompson; and two step great grandchildren Blake Cook and Brayden Cook. Funeral services will be held noon Friday January 1, 2016 at the Saltpetre Community Church with Pastor Richard Maynard officiating. Burial will follow in the Lynch Cemetery Saltpetre Road Fort Gay, WV. Friends may visit the family from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm Thursday Dec. 31st at the Wilson Funeral Home. Care has been entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home.
