Janet Marie Burgess, age 75, of Hagerhill went to be with her Lord on Monday, April 30, 2012 at Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center of Paintsville, KY. Janet was born October 7, 1936 in Keystone, WV. She is the daughter of the late Herbert Richard and the late Lavie (Giliepsiie) Burgess. She was a retired medical secretary for the Carl D. Perkins Rehab Center. She is survived by ; two sisters: Eva Jeffers of Montrose, CA, Dorthoty Collins of Panasoffee, FL; Alice Stapleton who was a close friend who cared for her the later part of her life; many special friends one which was Nora Jean Stapleton; and she leaves behind many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, George Burgess, brother, Harry Burgess, sister, Christine Rasi. The funeral will be held 11:00 am on Saturday, May 5 at Richardons Chapel Church, , Richardson, KY with Bro. Tommy Meade and Bro. Johnny Stapleton officiating. A graveside service will be held on Monday May 7th at 1:00 pm at Grandview Memory Gardens, Bluefield, VA. Burial will be in Grandview Memory Gardens at Bluefield, VA. Calling hours will be Friday, May 4 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Richardson Chapel Church.
