James Allen (Jimmy) Ramey 67 of Blaine, KY died Saturday January 30, 2016 at his home following a brief illness. Jimmy was born Oct. 9, 1948 in Blaine, KY to the late James Harrison Ramey and Lula Osborne Ramey. He was a retired telephone foreman and a farmer. Jimmy is preceded in death by his father James Harrison Ramey and one son Bobby Ray Ramey and one sister Gloria Marie Johnson. Survivors include his mother Lula Osborne Ramey, his wife Rosemary Ramey of Blaine, KY. Three sons James Allen Jr. (Tonya) Ramey of Isonville, KY, Danny (Rhonda) Ramey and Joseph Michael Ramey of Blaine, KY, one daughter Gloria (Jason) Stepp of Morehead, KY; two step-children Rowena Smith and Jonathan King of Winchester, KY. Jimmy also leaves behind eight grandchildren Jazzmine Ramey, Wade Ramey, and Presley Ramey of Isonville, KY, Danny Gene Ramey Jr., Ben Ramey and Sophia Ramey of Blaine, KY, Andrew Stepp and Olivia Stepp of Morehead, KY. Three Step Grandchildren Viktor King, Matthew Smith, and Natalie Smith all of Winchester, KY. Jimmy is also survived by two brothers Bobby (Carol) Ramey and Larry Ramey all of Blaine and four sisters Wanda (Gene) Cordle of West Jefferson, Ohio, Nancy (James) Cordle of Blaine, KY, Jane (Cleve) Gillman of Westerville, Ohio and Debbie (Mike) Ferguson of Fort Gay, WV. Jimmy is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews who all love him very much. Funeral services will be held on Monday Feb. 1st at 2:00 pm at the Big Blaine United Baptist Church with Elders Eulas Adams, Phillip Caudill, and Charles Poe officiating. Burial will follow in the Ramey Cemetery at Blaine, KY. Friends may visit the family on Sunday Jan. 31st after 5:00 pm at the Big Blaine United Baptist Church.
