William Paris Holbrook 89 of Ashland, Kentucky, husband of Ida Ann Hampton Holbrook, died Tuesday February 23, 2016 at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, KY following a brief illness. Paris was born Dec. 28, 1926 in Lawrence County, a son of the late Jere Herman Holbrook and Nura Savage Holbrook. He was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister. Survivors in addition to his wife, a daughter Teresa Ann Baldridge and husband Roger of Ashland, KY; and two grandchildren Jessica and Tanner Baldridge. He was a Christian and a longtime member of the Westwood Baptist Church, World War II Army Veteran with service in the South Pacific and Japan, a 60+ year member and Past Master of Green Hill Masonic Lodge #521, 32nd Degree KCCH, Green Hill O.E.S. #567 where he served as Worthy Patron. He was retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. Winston-Salem, N.C. with 30 years of service. Funeral services will be held on Friday Feb. 26th at 1:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Rob Jordan officiating. Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Burial Park at Ashland, KY. Friends may visit with the family from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm Thursday at the Wilson Funeral Home. Masonic Rites by Tim Burton of Green Hill Lodge will be held on Thursday evening. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the Community Hospice Care Center 2330 Pollard Road Ashland, KY 41101. Care has been entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home.
