Obituary of Lillian Marie Brown

Lillian Marie Brown 102 years 4Months and 19 days old went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday March 5, 2016 following a brief illness. Lillian was born Oct. 14, 1913 at Dunlow, WV the daughter of the late Charles Wesley and Sarah Perry Asbury. She was a retired Post Mistress and School Teacher and was the oldest living member of the Fairmont United Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Charles Thomas (Tom) Brown; a daughter Phyllis Imojean Zanolini-Moulder; and grandchildren Edna Marie Harold, Rebecca Lee Livingston, Tiffany Lynn Zanolini, and Lola Leigh Phillips. She is also preceded in death by her sisters Billie Runyon, Reba Kobliska, and Charlene Hyden; brothers Perry Asbury, Curtis Asbury, Thomas Asbury, James Asbury, Jack Asbury, and Neal Asbury. She is survived by five children Sara Isabell Herald and husband Wayne, James Thomas Brown and wife Glennda, Arlene Sue Igel and husband George, Stephen Denny Brown and wife Josephine, and John Charles Brown and wife Pamela; two siblings Connie Kenny and Ted Asbury and wife Ailene; 16 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, and 37 great great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday March 8th at 1:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home with Pastor Denny Brown and Pastor Jess Allen officiating. Burial will follow in the Asbury Cemetery at Dunlow, WV. Friends may visit the family on Monday March 7th from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home. Care has been entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home.
