George Jay Newsome 73 of Louisa passed away Monday March 14th at Three Rivers Medical Center following a long illness. George was born Nov. 24, 1942 at Louisa, the son of the late George F. and Alta Mae Burchett Newsome. He was retired from the Louisa Carpet Mill and a member of the Cando FWB Church. Survivors include his loving wife Willa Moore Newsome, a daughter Tanya Vanover and husband Nick of Blaine, KY; two sons Terry J. Newsome and wife Holly of Rush, KY and Matthew Franklin Newsome and finance' Katraina also of Louisa; a brother Willis Newsome and wife Eva Mae of Louisa, a special caregiver and friend Ryan Bishop; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Thursday March 17th at 11:00 am at the Cando FWB Church with Bro. Joe Castle and Bro. Jim Bevins. Friends may visit the family on Wednesday March 16th from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Cando FWB Church. Care has been entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home.
