Vanita Iona Dunavin Perry, died at home in Louisa, Kentucky on Wednesday, March 16, 2015. She was 91. Mrs. Perry was born July 21, 1924 in Monette, Arkansas to Jeff Davis Dunavin and Tressie Ladd Dunavin. She worked for Louisa General Hospital and later Three Rivers Hospital for 20 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Louisa. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Theodore Perry, her parents and her sister, Freida Gray. Survivors include her daughter, Charlotte (Fred) Coffey of Louisa, grandchildren, Denver (Kristy) Chaffin of Louisa and Angel (Ryan) Thompson of Liberty Township, Ohio, and great grandchildren, Megan and Madison Chaffin of Louisa, Kentucky and Sadie and Carter Thompson of Liberty Township, Ohio. She is also survived by her siblings, Ermel (Betty) Dunavin of Eau Claire, Michigan; Oleta (Bob) Birondo of Monette, Arkansas; Jeff Wayne Dunavin of Lake Village, Indiana; Don (Judy) Dunavin of Kansas City, Missouri and Ron (Stella) Dunavin of Monette, Arkansas. A funeral is scheduled for Saturday, March 19 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Louisa. Pastor Chuck Price will officiate the service. Visitation is on Friday, March 18 from 6:00- 9:00 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home. Care has been entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home.
